Mickey Kent McClelland

  Mickey K. McClelland, 66, of Valley, Alabama, passed peacefully on September 11, 2025. Born on June 22, 1959, to Harold and Whitene McClelland, Mickey grew up in Cusseta, Alabama, where he graduated from Chambers Academy.

  Mickey was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. In his younger years, he could often be found casting a line while bass fishing on quiet waters or riding his motorcycle down open roads. He also enjoyed the friendly competition of a good game of pool, where his easygoing nature and warm spirit always drew people to him.

  Above all, Mickey was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marcia McClelland; his three sons, Earl Bryant (Amy), Shawn Aldridge (Sherri), and Michael McClelland (Nikki); his brother, Tommy McClelland (Beth); thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Whitene McClelland, as well as his brothers, Field McClelland, Paul McClelland, and Billy Earl McClelland.

  Mickey will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for the outdoors, and the kindness he shared so freely with others. While his presence will be greatly missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the arms of his Savior, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. His faith and love live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and we rejoice in the promise that we will see him again.
 
  Visitation will be on Sunday, September 14th at 1:30PM at Johnson Brown Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama, with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview cemetery. Service will be officiated by Pastor Bogey Cotney.
