Miss Shannon Brooke Murphy

Miss Shannon Brooke Murphy, 49, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

Brooke was born in Langdale, Alabama on August 2, 1972.

She attended Osanippa Creek Baptist Church growing up and later attended the Upper Room Church where she was baptized.

Brooke was a lady who would light up the room with simply her presence. She was very genuine, kind and personable.  

She was an avid Auburn University football fan and a fan of the Atlanta Braves.

She loved to spend time on the water or around water whether it was at the beach, the pool, or the lake.  She enjoyed fishing and she loved animals.

Brooke had a very special relationship with her nieces Macee and Savannah.  She was the cool aunt that invested her time, love and experiences with them always treating them as her own children.    

She is survived by her mother Beverly S. Marshall; her sister, Mistee (Jimmy) Streat; half-brother, James Murphy; nieces, Macee and Savannah Streat; aunt, Sherry Knowles; uncle, Tony (Marsha) Smith; fiancé, Jeff Bowen.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley.  The Reverend Shane Brooks officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00P.M. EDT until 2:00P.M. EDT.
