Richard Lamar Glazier, age 66, of Lanett, Alabama died on January 16th, 2019 with many friends and family by his side.
Richard cherished his many friends, which were like his family too. He enjoyed spending quality time with all of them. The stories he could tell would keep everyone entertained for hours.
He loved NASCAR and Jeff Gordon and going to the races with his buddies in the RV was something he loved to do. Everyone who knew Richard loved him, loved his generosity, and his big heart. Richard never met a stranger. He was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan but, his greatest love was for Corvettes. You always knew he was there if you saw the yellow Vette parked outside.
He loved West Point Lake, which was his home. Over the years, he owned many boats and enjoyed being on the water. He was a fixture at the Southern Harbor Marina.
He is survived by his daughter, Brittney York, her husband, Chris; his son Ranen Glazier; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nephew, Jim Glazier, and wife, Staci. He is also survived by a niece, nephew, cousins, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ron Glazier.
A visitation and service will take place on West Point Lake at Veasey Creek Park Boat Ramp in Lanett, Alabama on Saturday, January 19th at 10:30A.M. EST. Richard’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life February 2nd, 2019 with the time and location to be announced.
