Mr. Roger Engelman

Mr. Roger Engelman, age 79, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Monday, June 3^rd, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Engelman was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 28^th, 1939 to the late Frank Myron Engelman and Selma Getz Engelman.   He was also preceded in death by his wife Doris Engelman.

He was a member of Temple Israel in Columbus, Georgia for over 40 years.

Mr. Engelman retired as the Industrial Materials Credit Manager for West Point Stevens after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Scott (Michelle) Engelman, Opelika; grandchildren, Blake Engelman, Auburn, Samantha Engelman, Opelika, Christin (Steven) Dunn, Hamilton, GA., Skylar (Joseph) Carswell, Lanett, Taylor Smith, LaFayette; daughter, Robin Helton; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 6^th, 2019 at 11:00A.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The Rabbi Beth Schwartz officiating.  His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
