Mr. Tommy Newman Obituary

It is with great sadness that the friends and family of Tommy Newman, 53, announce his passing.  He left his family on February 15th, 2020 to be with the Lord.   

Tommy was born to the late Marion and Frances Newman of Atlanta, GA, on May 28th, 1966. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Diane; and his first wife, Page Newman.

Tommy was a proud Christian, and he attended the Church of the Highlands – Auburn East.  Tommy was a hardworking man and worked many years at Auburn University. Tommy enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and motorcycles. 

Tommy leaves behind his wife and best friend, Shay Newman; his brother, Michael Newman; his nephew, Brian; his niece, Michaela; his Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Lorraine Carlisle, and their children, Mary and Adam.

Tommy is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jackie (David) Johnson; father-in-law, Thomas Fulton; his brothers-in-law, Adam (Melissa) Fulton, Brian (Stephanie) Fulton, and their children.

Tommy also leaves behind so many friends and family, such as Mott and Pat Campbell, & Ray and Pam Buttersnitz.

Funeral services will be held at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama on Saturday, February 22nd, at 11:00A.M. EST.  Tommy’s family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00P.M. EST until 8:00P.M. EST.  Interment will be private.

The family kindly requests that any floral pieces sent be green plants.
