Mrs. Betty Sue Beck

Mrs. Betty Sue Beck, affectionately known as “Mama Bette” by her family, age 93, passed away on October 2nd, 2021, at Lanier Nursing Home in Valley, Alabama.

She is survived by her children, Jack Beck (Donna) of Lakeland, FL, David Beck and  Kim McQueen (Randy) of Valley, AL; grandchildren, Brian Willis (Anje), Joel Willis (Tracy), Lindsey Oshel (Keith), Davey Beck, Mandy Mills, Zach McQueen (Jessica), Jenna Williams and numerous great-grandchildren.

 Other survivors include her sisters, Jean Ann Cauley & Frances Pearce, and numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her  husband, Jesse Earl Beck; children, Alicia Brooks, Stan Beck, and Kerri Watts; parents, Thomas and  Evelyn Frazier; brothers, Thomas H. Frazier, Leon E. Frazier, Jack H. Frazier, Dan Frazier, James E Frazier, Robert H. Frazier,  & Warren Grant Frazier.

Mrs. Beck was born on August 2nd, 1928, in Chambers County Alabama. She attended Valley High School in Valley Alabama. She married her beloved husband, Jesse Earl Beck, on April 9th, 1948, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. Betty worked at West Point Pepperell in the towel department and later at Duracell in LaGrange Georgia. She was a charter member of Fairview Baptist Church and later attended Valley Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed flowers, and spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM EST Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery in Valley.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
