Mrs. Doris D. Maddux Obituary

Mrs. Doris D. Maddux, age 77, of Langdale, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Mrs. Maddux was born in Langdale, Alabama on October 21st, 1942 to the late Jessie M. Duffey and Nora Gilbert Duffey.

Mrs. Maddux was a member of the Langdale United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Rayford E. Maddux; daughter, Jane Maddux; son and his wife, Phillip Maddux and Teresa; granddaughter and her husband, Alyssa Steele and Max; great-grandson, Waylon Steele.

Mrs. Maddux worked at Lanier Hospital as a ward clerk for several years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 11:00A.M. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley. Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00A.M. EST until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her name to the Langdale United Methodist Church Barrell of Love Fund.
