Mrs. Jean Piper Jones

Mrs. Jean Piper Jones, 94, a resident of Huguley, AL passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Diversicare of Lanett.  A private graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM EST on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Fairfax Cemetery in Valley, AL with Rev. Rusty Letson officiating.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. 

Mrs. Jones was born in Bartlett’s Ferry, AL on December 13, 1925.  She was a graduate of Valley High School and attended the University of Tennessee.  She was a member of the Lanett First United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed being around her family and was a sweet and kind individual. 

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lee Jones; sons, Robert Barry Jones, and David B. Jones (Shann); twin sister, Jane P. Hall; two grandchildren, Jenna Jones & Charity Simmons and two great-grandchildren, Asa & Ina Crenshaw.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Talley & Annie Lamb Piper and her brother, Warren Piper. 

The family would like to extend appreciation to all the staff at Diversicare of Lanett and Chattahoochee Hospice who lovingly ministered to our mother and to our family for many months.
