Mrs. Rebecca Sue Butler Tucker

Mrs. Rebecca Sue Butler Tucker, age 80, of Valley, AL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 01, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia. She was born December 16th, 1940 in Shawmut, AL to the late Charlie Pearce Butler of Lanett, AL, and Mary Will Linder Butler, of Opelika, AL.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her brother Tony Butler, sons David and Michael Tucker, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren (with a third on the way), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mary Butler, husband William Lee Tucker of Fairfax Alabama, and daughter Linda Marie Tucker Rhoads.

Mrs. Tucker was the proud wife of an Air Force Officer, a teacher of dance, a small business owner, and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family through countless hours of band and soccer practices, Scouts, and church functions.  She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, to whom she was lovingly known as “Nana.”

A visitation will be held at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Thursday, June 10th, from 12:00 PM to 1:40 PM EDT, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM EDT at Resthaven Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker’s nephew, the Reverend Joel Tucker, will officiate.
