Nellie Pearl Lynn

     It is with both a heavy heart and a celebration of a well-lived life that we announce the passing of Nellie Pearl Lynn. Nellie, a cherished member of the Valley, Alabama community, left us peacefully on July 28, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the love and memories that filled her 82 years.

     Born in Langdale, Alabama on December 27, 1942, to Frank and Effie Fetner, Nellie was the epitome of southern grace and warmth. From her early beginnings in Langdale to her final days, she nurtured a family that adored her and a community that respected her. Her loving spirit now reunites with her beloved husband, Clifford "Butch" Lynn, grandson Blake Lynn, her parents, siblings, Faye Yarbrough, Sara Moore, Betty Phipps, Dwight Fetner, Bill Fetner, Charlie Fetner, Mary Brown, and Rebecca Tomer, and son in law, Neil Fuller who all preceded her in death.

     She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, clearly seen in the eyes of her children, Ricky Lynn (Tammy) and Tanya Fuller, and lit brightly in the lives of her grandchildren, Zack Lynn (Melissa), Madyson Manning (Andrew), Caryn Davis (Blake), Katelyn Fuller (Jim Hunt), and Kelsey Fuller, and great-grandchildren Lexie Lynn, Kaylie Lynn, Olivia Lynn, Rhett Davis, Raelynn Davis, and Rylee Davis. Her siblings George Fetner, Glennella Hall, and Marvin Fetner will cherish the memories and the time they shared with their treasured sister.

     Nellie's love for her husband knew no bounds, and she missed him dearly. Together they made the road their home, exploring the country in their RV, creating a scrapbook of memories along the way. At home, she was the heart of every family function, ensuring everyone was fed with "Maw Maw magic," which her grandchildren eagerly acclaimed whenever they spoke of her culinary delights.

     A dedicated member of the Fairfax First Baptist Church, Nellie's faith was steadfast, guiding her through the trials and joys of life. Her compassionate nature also led her to care devotedly for her siblings, giving tirelessly of herself to ensure their comfort.

     Described as loving, kind, and thoughtful, Nellie will be remembered by all who knew her as an extraordinary woman who gave more than she ever expected to receive. Her light, laughter, and "Maw Maw magic" will be sorely missed, but the impact she made on her family and community will resonate for generations to come.

     Funeral services for Nellie will be held on Thursday, July 31st, 2025, at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Fairfax First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Pastors Kevin Anglin and John Dye will officiate. Nellie’s family will receive friends Thursday afternoon at the church from 12:30 PM (EDT) until the service hour.

     In lieu of flowers, Nellie’s family asks that donations be made to Fairfax First Baptist Church in her memory.
