Opal Smith

     Mrs. Opal P. Smith, age 93, of Valley, Alabama passed away on November 20th, 2025, at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. She was born on May 13th, 1932, in Franklin, Georgia.

     Opal is survived by her nephew, Kevin Powell; nieces, Kristin Wright and Katherine Klinger; son-in-law, Leon Brown; step-grandson, Harold Brown.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Smith; and all of her siblings.

     Opal was an independent and smart lady. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband ran Harold Smith’s Photo Shop in Lanett for many years.

     Graveside services for Opal will be held on Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EST) in Harmony Memorial Park Cemetery in Lanett. The Reverend Rusty Letson will officiate. No visitation is planned.
