Patty Jo Bishop, affectionately known as Kera to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at the age of 58, in her hometown of Opelika, Alabama. Born on December 23, 1966, Kera was a beacon of kindness and love throughout her life.
Kera will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Betty Genevia Cupp, her husband Carl, and sister Barbara Freeman. She also leaves behind cherished caretakers, Angel Osborne and Joss Buchler. Her spirit will continue to inspire her numerous nieces and nephews who adored her deeply. She now joins her late parents, Forest and Betty Bishop, her sister Judy Craven, and brothers Rodney and John Bishop in eternal rest.
A lover of the great outdoors, Kera found joy in camping and expressing her love through cooking. Her three dog companions were a source of immense happiness and comfort to her. Kera's legacy is defined by her unwavering love for friends and family, characterized by her boundless love and kindness. Her warm presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
