Paula Lee Fagan

     Paula Lee Fagan, affectionately known by all as Paula, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 28, 1942, in Lanett, Alabama, Paula's life was a testament to her kind-hearted and loving nature. She was a source of light and comfort to her loving family and the community of Valley, Alabama, where she passed.

     Paula dedicated many years of service as a devoted nurse at West Georgia Medical Center, a vocation that allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals with her compassion and care. Her commitment to her faith was evident through her membership at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church in Daviston, where she found great solace in reading her bible and engaging with her church family.

     Family was the cornerstone of Paula's world. She was a cherished mother to her daughters, Lynda Sue Fagan and Isabelle Kaye Green, married to Randy. Her grandsons, Colin Green and Casey Green, married to Kinsley, were the joy of her life. Although she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Mylindy Fagan, sister, Shirley Herren, brother, Harlan Lamar Yarbrough, and Mr. George R. Fagan, her legacy of love continues to thrive in the hearts of those who knew her best.

     Paula's zest for life was reflected in her enduring love for animals, particularly birds, her enthusiastic support for the University of Alabama, and her enjoyment of John Wayne movies. Those who knew Paula will remember her as a loving and kind-hearted individual, who lived a faith-filled life. Her warmth and unyielding love for everyone around her will forever be cherished and missed.

     Funeral services for Paula will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, at 2:30 PM (EST) at the Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church in Five Points, Alabama. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Elder Jonathan Blakely will officiate. Paula’s family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 PM (EST) until the service hour at the church. In lieu of flowers, Paula’s family asks that donations be made to the Chattahoochee Humane Society in her memory.
