Phillip McKay Majors Obituary

Phillip McKay Majors, 79,  passed away Monday, May 18th, 2020.  He is preceded in death by his parents, T.W. and Marie McKay Majors, one brother, Tommy Majors, one nephew, Jonathan Hanners.  He is survived by his wife, June Price Majors, six siblings, Nita Abney, David Majors, Allen Majors (Pat), Carolyn Pritchard, Shirley (Barney) Austin, and Stevie (Gail) Majors. Thirteen Nieces and nephews, twenty-eight great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Phillip was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved the game of golf and playing the stock market.  He enjoyed it when his great-nephews showed an interest in both.

He was retired from the Alabama Georgia Supply Company, where he worked as a salesman.  He graduated from Southern Union with an Associates Degree.  He was a charter member of the first graduating class of the Southern Union Campus in Valley.

The service will be private, graveside only due to the restrictions of COVID19.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kindred Hospice of Phenix City or The Lion’s Club of Valley.
