Phyllis Smith Brown, 84, passed away in her hometown of Valley, Alabama. Born in Langdale, Alabama, on May 26, 1940, Phyllis was the treasured matriarch to a family that revered her.
Her loving husband, Leon D. Brown survives her. Also, cherishing her memory are her child, Harold J. Brown, sisters, Evelyn Tidwell, and Betty Verhine, along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Phyllis now reunites with her parents, Arthur Harold Smith and Theo Holden, her sons, Greg and Raymond Brown.
As a homemaker, she was the heart of her family and an avid member of her church, where her faith-filled soul found solace and purpose. Today, we remember Phyllis as a loving woman whose radiant spirit and enduring faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Funeral service for Phyllis will be held, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 2:30 P.M.(EST), in the Chapel at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama. Pastor Joseph Schuck will officiate.
Interment will follow at Johnson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
