Randie Jones, a kind-hearted and spirited gentleman, passed away peacefully at his residence in Lanett, Alabama, on August 7, 2023. Born on January 16, 1966, in Langdale, Alabama, Randie was known for his love for his family, his dogs, and his passion for metal detecting.
Randie was a man of many talents, but his most notable trait was his kindness. He had a heart that was always ready to give and a spirit that was always ready to love. His family and friends will remember him as a man who was always there for them, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a man who loved deeply and was loved deeply in return.
Randie was a devoted husband to his wife, LaJune Jones. Their love story was one of mutual respect, deep affection, and shared laughter. Together, they created a home filled with love and warmth. He was also a loving stepfather to Melissa Davis and Cody Wade, always treating them as his own and guiding them with wisdom and love.
In addition to his wife and stepchildren, Randie is survived by his stepmother, Terri Harper Jones, his siblings, Ricky Jones, Michelle Yarbrough, and Ricky Holloway (Sue), and his grandfather, Gordon Taylor. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will miss his playful spirit and his warm hugs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wendell Jones and Nancy Jones; brother, Robert “Robbie” Wendell Jones; and niece, Sadie Lauren Jennings.
Randie had a passion for metal detecting. He loved the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery. His finds were not just pieces of metal, but stories from the past that he loved to share with others.
Randie attended at The Upper Room Church in Valley, Alabama. His faith was a source of strength and comfort to him, and he lived his life according to the principles of love, kindness, and generosity that he found in his faith.
In conclusion, Randie Jones was a man who lived his life with kindness, spirit, and a love for others that was truly inspiring. Funeral services for Randie will be held on Thursday, August 10th, 2023 at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Bogey Cotney will officiate Randie’s family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
