Rickey W. Floyd

     Rickey W. Floyd, a loving son, uncle, and nephew, passed away on May 9, 2023, in Valley, Alabama. Born on November 6, 1974, in LaGrange, Georgia, Rickey was known for his friendly, kind, and loving nature.

     Rickey is survived by his mother, Dianne Floyd; nephew, Alex Floyd; aunt, Margaret Sheppard; and uncles, Stanley Autrey, Joe Autrey, and Jerry Autrey. He was a cherished member of his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie R. Floyd; and his brother, Jeffery Floyd.

     Rickey was known for his warm and welcoming personality. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease and comfortable in his presence.

     Rickey's love for his family was unwavering, and he was especially close to his mother, Dianne. He would often say "I love you" to everyone who came to visit, making sure they knew how much he cared for them. His love of his family and friends were truly inspiring and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

     Rickey's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the love and kindness he shared with everyone he met. His legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished for years to come.

     As we remember Rickey, let us celebrate his life and the positive impact he had on those around him. His gentle spirit and loving nature will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, Rickey W. Floyd.

     A Celebration of Life service for Rickey was held on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the graveside in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Rickey’s family received receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
