Roy Lee Rochester passed away on November 30, 2021 at the age of 79, in his hometown
of Lanett, Alabama.
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Roy Lee came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ola Mae Stewart Rochester and his cherished sister Anna Louise Widener.
His is survived by his loving nieces; Diane (Larry) Colombini, Terri Fitzgerald, Marie (Steve) Maness and Elaine (Mike) Haverty, his beloved Blondell Sims, and a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He served in the National Guard and retired from the West Point Mill. He loved the Yankees and Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football.
Pallbearers will be, Ross Striblin, Larry Colombini, Steve Maness and Jonathan Maness.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 1:00P.M. EST - 12:00P.M. CST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Shawmut Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service.
