Roy Sanford Chase

     Mr. Roy Sanford Chase, age 81, of Lee County, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 26th, 2021 in Opelika, Alabama. He was born on December 26th, 1939 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Joe Lee Chase and Adell Chase.

     Mr. Chase is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Diane Chase; children, Christina Chase, Bennie (Michelle) Coulter, Darryl Coulter, Davina Lang, and Bryan Lee Chase; grandchildren, Candice Rowell, Brett Lang, Caressa Tice, Alex Coulter, John William Lang, Ashley Buice, Caitlyn Chase, and Makenzie Chase; a host of great grandchildren; sister, Eloise Debuke; sister-in-law, Fran Chase; nephew Rickey Koon.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Malvie Joe Powers; brother, Earnest Chase.

     Mr. Chase was veteran of the United States Navy and a proud member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Valley where he served as Chairman of the Board and led congregational singing. He was a former supervisor at Uniroyal and the former Principle of Temple Christian School.

     Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 at 3:00 PM (EDT) at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. Dr. Darren White will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EDT) until the service hour at the church.
