Steven "Steve" Bartley Lyons

  Steven Bartley Lyons passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 76. He will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet strength, and the legacy he leaves behind through his children and grandchildren.

  Steve took pride in his work and was known for being dependable, hardworking, and committed to doing things the right way. He owned his own real estate appraisal business for nearly two decades and was highly respected in his field.

  He also proudly served in the Air National Guard.

  To his family, he was a faithful husband of over 40 years, loving father, and proud grandfather. He may not have always put his feelings into words, but his love was seen in the way he provided, showed up, and cared for the people around him. His family was one of the greatest joys of his life.

  He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children: Meridith Scherer and her husband Nathan, and their daughter Marlo; Josh Lyons and his wife Meghan, and their son Casey; Joseph Lyons and his wife Rachael, and their children Olive, Patrick, and Ian; and Ben Lyons and his wife Abbey, and their children Judah and Emery.

  He is also survived by his siblings, Joel Lyons, Johnny Lyons, and Suzy Fullerton, and their families, and by his uncle, Frank Lyons. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Janelle Lyons.

  Though his family grieves this loss, they are thankful for the years they had with him and the memories they will carry forward. His life made a lasting impact, and he will not be forgotten.

  Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at River View Baptist Church. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
