Sylvia Ann Yarbrough, known to family as CC, 76 of valley passed Tuesday March 25 at EAMC Opelika.
She was a beloved wife, sister, Aunt and friend. Sylvia was a strong, dedicated and Christian woman. She loved listening to her gospel music and spreading her love for God by praying with others.
If you knew Sylvia her favorite saying was "I'm still here and I'm holding on!" She worked in textiles for West Point Pepperell and West Point Home at the Fairfax and Fairview mills for many years. She retired becoming a wife and homemaker enjoying time at the lake, gardening, and watching and feeding her birds.
Her family will always cherish her laughter and adventurous stories she use to tell. She will be missed greatly by us all.
She is preceeded in death by her Father Edward Pinkard, mother Annis D Pinkard, sister Dorothy J Parrish, and brother James(Jake) Pinkard.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Robert Yarbrough Jr., step daughter Amy (Chris)Holly, granddaughter Jacy O'Neal, brothers William(Debra)Pinkard, Billy(Diane)Pinkard, and many special Nieces and Nephews and their families.
The Family will receive friends for visitation Sunday March 30 at Johnson-Brown Funeral Home in Valley from 6-8 pm.
Funeral services will be Monday March 31 at 11am at the Faith Evangelistic Church at 3020 Ben Brown Rd in Valley.
Graveside will follow at the Fairview Cemetery located on River Rd.
