Wanda K. McClellan, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully in LaGrange, Georgia on October 9, 2023. Born on October 17, 1973, in Valley, Alabama, Wanda was a beacon of love, strength, and generosity throughout her life.
Wanda was the cherished daughter of Debra Scott and the proud mother of two sons, Anthony McClellan (Brianna) and Bryan McClellan. She was also the doting grandmother of Maci Nikole Williamson. Wanda was the loving sister of Tommy Scott (Shelia), Michael Scott (Lela), and Donnie Scott (Anita). She was also a beloved aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Scott.
Wanda's life was characterized by her love for her family. She was the heart and soul of family gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt welcomed and loved. Her children, granddaughter, nieces, and nephews were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Wanda was always available to lend a helping hand or to listen, demonstrating her selfless nature and generous spirit.
In addition to her love for her family, Wanda had a passion for fishing. She found peace and joy in the simple act of casting a line and waiting for a bite. Her strong will was evident in her patience and determination, whether she was waiting for a fish to bite or facing life's challenges.
Wanda was known for her friendly demeanor and generous spirit. She was always ready with a smile or a kind word, making everyone around her feel valued and appreciated. Her selflessness was evident in her willingness to always put others before herself. Wanda's strength of character and her loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.
In her passing, Wanda leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Wanda K. McClellan will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at 2:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Wanda’s family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
