Mr. Benjamin Earl Leamer, Jr., 76, of Cusseta, AL passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was born on July 2, 1940 to the late Earl Leamer, Sr. and Mary Leamer.

     Mr. Leamer is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lila Doris Leamer; his five children, Benjamin Earl Leamer, III, Mark (Michele) Leamer, Donna Whaley, Mike (Shelly) Leamer, and Dylan Leamer; his eight grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Barnes, A.J. Leamer, Ashley Leamer, Corey Whaley, Justin Whaley, Jennifer Leamer, Jayden Leamer, and Brandon Gray; his three great grandchildren, Jamison Barnes, Jase Barnes, and Jayden Gray; his six siblings, Jean Schurf, Carol Anderson, Lois Misner, Alvin Leamer, John Leamer, and Ray Leamer. He was preceded in death by his sister, Isabell Deyarmin; and his brother, Harry Leamer.

     Mr. Leamer was a good hardworking man who was always a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Osanippa Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a very dedicated Christian who loved his family, church, and church family.

     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM (EST) on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Osanippa Baptist Church with the Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
