Mr. Fred Robert Slatter, age 75, of Dadeville, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Shelbyville, TN.

     Mr. Slatter is survived by his four children, Freddy (Kim) Slatter, Kathy Ruth Hirschfeld, Charalin Kipker, and Dinah (Mike) Schryer; his nine grandchildren, Freddy Slatter, Jon Slatter, Cori Slatter, Michelle Schryer, Matt (Kelli) Hirschfeld, Julia Kipker, Megan Kipker, Faith Schryer, and Hope Schryer; his great-great granddaughter, Alyssa; his sister, Sher (Wayne) Weldon; his special friend, Janet Nolen.

     Mr. Slatter is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Gertrude Slatter; his former spouse, Tommie Ruth Slatter.

     Mr. Slatter was born on March 12, 1941 in Oxford England. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Dadeville, AL.

     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 4:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Al with the Rev. Ricky Thomaston officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, AL. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
