Mr. David Shelnutt, Jr., age 58, of Huguley, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at the West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.

Mr. Shelnutt was born on September 23rd, 1958 in Savannah, Georgia.

He attended high school in Thomson, Georgia. 

Mr. Shelnutt enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.  He always enjoyed attending the Buck Masters Life Hunt for Kids in Montgomery, Alabama. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance M. Shelnutt.

Mr. Shelnutt is survived by his father, Eugene Shelnutt, Sr., Lanett; his two sons, Trey Shelnutt and wife, Lindsey, Gadsden, Alabama, Derek Shelnutt and his wife, Monica, Gadsden, Alabama; four grandchildren, Deianna Shelnutt, Gavynn Shelnutt, Alexandra Mitchell, Braelyn Moore; brother, Michael Shelnutt and his wife, Dani, Lanett, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with interment following in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The Reverend Raymond Alexander officiating.  His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in David’s name to a church or charity of your choice.
