Mr. James MacArthur Carmack

April 8th, 1943 - April 23rd, 2017

 

Mr. James MacArthur "Mac" Carmack, age 74, of the Lake Harding Community passed away on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.

Mr. Carmack was born on April 8, 1943 in Langdale, Alabama to the late James Arthur Carmack and Mary Dallas Strickland Carmack.

Mac had a special love Lake Harding, the Lake Harding Community,  and life on the lake. He especially enjoyed water skiing and boating.  He held a special place in his heart for animals.

Mr. Carmack was a retired employee of the West Point Stevens Fairfax Mill.  He was a member of the Valley First Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Kay Carmack; his son, Phillip Damon Carmack, Lake Harding Community.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Mac's life on Friday, April 28th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.  The Reverend James Fogul officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.
